Besides, air-con minibuses, buses, and taxi are always available at several bus stations like My Dinh, Gia Lam, Luong Yen. It takes about 3 hours and a half to transfer from Ha Noi to Bai Chay and vice versa.

You can also transfer from Hanoi to Hai Phong City and take a ferry from Binh Wharf (031 3 842 927) to the dock in Hon Gai Town (033 3 825 187). It will take you about two hours and a half for the route. From Bai Chay, if you would like to visit Mong Cai, the easternmost point in Vietnam, take a high speed hydrofoil which run daily between Bai Chay and Mong Cai. This hydrofoil only takes you nearly two hours.
